㈠ 名利場這部小說中的人物性格有什麼特點
基本上每個都展現出了虛偽的一面，首先說女主角，蓓基，她是一個孤兒，卻一心想著住上爬，她聰明能幹，為達目的，可以不擇手段。為什麼，因為名利呀。而作為他的反面，艾米麗亞，雖然表面謙和，可是也有虛偽的一面，因為怕別人言論，所以拒絕一直愛著她的人。
可以說，無論是利蓓加，還是愛米麗亞，都是拜金主義的
犧牲品，男權制度下的冤魂。薩克雷的小說告訴我們，在名利場中追求虛名浮利時，
隨時都有隱藏的增加成本的危機，或是真情，或是青春，或是
做人的尊嚴。有時候，我們甚至會無力承受為之付出的代價。
都賓二十載的痴守苦等，卻發現自己日思夜想的女子竟是如
此自私愚昧，利蓓加雖終於撈到一筆錢，卻弄得眾叛親離，孤
苦伶仃，愛米麗亞算是如願以償，然而最終仍失去丈夫的摯
愛。
名利場上沒有勝者。人與人之間的關系全都倚仗名位、權
勢、利祿串連起來。在這個名與利編織起來的大網中，沒有人
能倖免於害，沒有人能總是稱心如意。費盡心機爭奪傾軋，到
頭來終是一場空，即使暫時如願以償，也未必能獲得真正的幸
福快樂。正如小說的結尾指出的:「浮名浮利，一切虛空I我們
這些人裡面誰是真正快活的?誰是稱心如意的?就算當時遂了
心願，過後還不是照樣不滿意?』，。
