『壹』 方舟子的人物經歷

1985年畢業於雲霄一中，考入中國科學技術大學生物系，結束五年本科後去了美國。
1991年1月正式入學密歇根州立大學生物化學系。
1993年，在美國讀書的方舟子經常瀏覽一個縮寫為ACT的中文網站，這是當時全美乃至全球唯一的中文網路，方舟子在這里發表了不少文史類小文章，成為圈子裡公認的「網文八大家」之一。
1994年創辦網路文學刊物《新語絲》，主持新語絲網站；次年，基於金庸小說形成的網路游戲「俠客行」上線，台灣最先出了繁體中文版，簡體版則是方舟子參與製作。曾有人聯系方舟子想將他的「新語絲」和網路游戲這兩個平台商業化，遭到拒絕。再後來，他放棄版權，公開了「俠客行」源代碼，游戲迅速遍及各大院校，而「新語絲」最終被他注冊成為非盈利性機構。
1995年獲美國密歇根州立大學生物化學博士學位。先後在美國羅切斯特大學生物系、索爾克生物研究院做博士後研究，研究方向為分子遺傳學。
1998年起主要從事寫作工作，10月回國。
1999年，方舟子率先組織了對某邪教組織的批判。
2000年創辦中文網上第一個學術打假網站「立此存照」，揭露了多起科學界、教育界、新聞界等領域的腐敗現象。
2012年7月11日，互動網路聘請方舟子為該公司首席科學顧問。
2013年7月21日，「健康中國人網」正式啟動上線，方舟子任總顧問。
